#247 crafty creatives 11!

Once again, its crafty creatives time. My box came last week and I'm still enjoying receiving them every month. I love not knowing what you'll get or what the theme will be.
I received this last week and made an effort to sort out all my bits and organise everything I've received from these boxes and now have loads of inspiration.
This months theme is Glamour with an art card by Lianne Wiliams.
"Channel your inner Marilyn, Audrey or Ginger. Think classic Hollywood circa 1940, this box has a bit of sparkle, a bit of glam, but always, always poly with oodles of class and style!"

Mmmm, the ever present CC kit!

So what's inside?
This month has -
  • The kit - which makes a decorative beaded hair clasp.
  • A length of beaded fluffy trim - mine is black.
  • 10 Swarovski crystal beads in a velvet pouch.
  • Photo glue!
  • 8 stardust beads.

  • Lace stamp - super cute
  • Ink pad - mine is gold.
  • Bag of metallic stardust.
  • A fat quarter of velvet
  • Red rose pendant
  • Pair of silver plated rhinestone teardrops - perfect earrings!
  • A crafty essential of earring findings and jump rings.
I have a plan for the trim and the black velvet in particular so I can't wait to get started!
Did you get this kit? Any plans?

#246 Primark haul

I have no job at the moment so am on a bit of a spending ban, but sometimes you need a wee treat and Primark is the perfect place for this - especially as I'm loving what they have in at the moment.

Here's a look at what I've picked up over the past wee while.

Better than 3 for £8 at Topshop! These have flamingos, cocktails and palm trees. Cute!
This is so bright and matches my sheets! I love pink and studs so its perfect.

I love the range of band tees they have in now. Much more me than usual.

Can never resist a horse/unicorn/Pegasus....
They're super reasonably priced and actually really nice quality. The guns n roses and deep purple ones especially.
These are both so comfy and nice and cheap. No one usually sees them but I like having cute jammies.
These were in the sale, down from £2.

I also bought some stockings but no one needs to see them!

I did make a video of this but got super nervous and didn't post it!

I edited using the "a beautiful mess" app which I love!

#245 thank you Company!

I am one of those people who never really wins anything so I was so excited when I received an email from Company Magazine telling me I had won a prize. And I was even more excited when it arrived today and brightened up my rainy Thursday!

I had decided to try out the Company Weekly Edit digital magazine - a weekly dose of Company including style, beauty and crafts for 69p. It's a nice wee read on your ipad. Anyway, I entered the competition at the end to win "stuff we've been sent this week". I'd forgotten all about it when I got the email.

So want to see my goodies?

I didn't expect to win a whole lot of stuff so I'm really grateful.

I received -
Such a lucky girl!

So a big thank you to Company Magazine. I'll probably do wee reviews of the products later.

#244 Sinful colours

I discovered sinful colours nail polish when I was in Florida a few years ago and was drawn to their amazing range of bright colours in Walgreens.
They were only a few dollars each so I nabbed a couple. I was super excited when I saw them in Boots for £1.99 and couldn't resist picking up a couple...or 5...
They're actually not bad quality considering the cheap price. I've not used these ones yet but from previous experience they last a couple of days without chipping which is the average for me. My others are matte and were a bit streaky after one coat but these don't seem as bad as those ones.

Swatches! These are all one coat - two would be better but one is reasonably opaque.

From left -
Amethyst - a deep but kind of bright purple. If that makes sense! I'm loving purple at the moment.
Unicorn - a pale banana colour. Super shiny but not shimmery. Was mainly attracted to the name!
Cinderella - exactly like her dress looks at the ball. Shimmery pale icy blue.
Mint Apple - I think the name sums up this colour but its hard to describe. It's a gorgeous minty green with shimmer.
Pistache - again, perfect name. Yummy pistachio green.

Have you tried these polishes yet? I don't know if all Boots will carry them but if they do - try them! At £1.99 they're definitely worth it.

#243 romwe

I made my first order with romwe and just received most of it - I got one dress about a week ago and am waiting on one more top. I ordered at the end of March so shipping time isn't fabulous but if you can be patient then it's not too bad. It is coming from Singapore so forgiven!

Everything comes in these ziplock bags which is quite cool. It felt like I was getting lots of wee presents!

Seashell dress. This was around £23 and is super clingy as its like a Lycra type material.
I also got this fishy dress which is the same as the above.
I'm not sure how I'm going to wear these. I want to dress them down a bit, maybe layering and a wee cardi or something ( ideas on a postcard).
I got this basic black top with tight, long sleeves and a loose body. It's really comfy and perfect for wearing with the leggings I bought. Think this was about £15.

I've wanted some patterned and galaxy leggings for ages but can't afford black milk so discovering the amazing selection at romwe which are really reasonably priced at £16 and feel pretty good quality.
The top are galaxy and the bottom are lightning and so pretty. They're reasonably thick but even so - leggings don't equal trousers!

Last up is this shirt and as you can see its a wee bit small! Boob bulge!
But look at that pattern!
Animals in 3d glasses! I'm probably going to wear it open or something. I'll find a way!

I'm definitely going to be using romwe again. They have so many cool, unique clothes and they seem good quality as well as being reasonably priced.
